In 2012, Francisco Fernández Vaquero and Carmen Ortiz Claro decided to start up Apartamentos Turísticos Los Nietos, located less than 100m from Asador Los Nietos. Later, when observing that such apartments would come a phenomenal complementary restoration service in the vicinity, and counting the family with an old building for livestock, winery and a space of free land where an old mansion was located, in 2014 , Francisco Fernández Vaquero decides to rehabilitate the building and adapt it to Asador-Restaurante.
This business was inaugurated in the summer of 2014 with the idea of working on traditional Riojan food and the employment in a high percentage of the dishes of the grill fed with grape vine wood native to the immediate surroundings of Briones. Season by season the work team is shaping up and acquiring more and more experience until arriving at the present time in which, with a lot of effort and the greatest of efforts in the day to day, the business acquires its maturity.
The philosophy of the business has made simplicity and family environment its cornerstone, a detail that is maintained from the name of the business "Los Nietos" (The Francisco`s and Carmen`s 4 grandchildren, Matteo, Laia, Bruno and Emma) until the way and ways to treat our clients and our own team.
